MEAL TRUST
Healthy Meals Delivered.
Colorado Food Cluster’s Meal Trust program makes it simple for Child Care Centers and Family Day Care Home Providers to access nutritious meals and federal funding that helps pay for them. We deliver the meals, support compliance, and manage the paperwork so you can focus on caring for children.
Delivered to You!
We deliver meals that meet federal nutrition standards, offering:
Breakfast
AM snack
Lunch
PM Snack
Dinner
Late Snack
Infant meals (currently excluding formula, baby cereal, baby foods)
Multi-day or daily deliveries, depending on your schedule
Local Vendors
Our priority is to source meals from local vendors whenever possible. Meals are prepared fresh, often from scratch, using ingredients from your county or across Colorado, supporting local businesses and strengthening community food systems.
Our meals are designed to be:
Kid-friendly
Culturally relevant
Fully compliant with federal meal guidelines (we take care of this part!)
If a local vendor isn’t available in your area, we work proactively to connect with providers who can meet your community’s needs.
Free or Low-Cost Meals
For Centers: Meal costs are based on each child’s household income. Colorado Food Cluster can handle parent income forms directly to reduce paperwork. Free and Reduced-Price meals have no cost to the center. Participating centers have a shared cost for paid students and support the food costs for children in the Paid category.
For Providers: Meal costs depend on your location, income, or the household income of children in your care. Tier 1 providers receive meal boxes at no cost, while Tier 2 providers pay a small share-cost to cover the difference between food cost and reimbursement.
