Food Trust Enrollment

Enrolling new participants during government shutdown and SNAP benefit delays.

The government shutdown and SNAP delays have been challenging for many people and businesses.

To support families with accessing fresh food items, minimize the impact on local grocers and decrease the overwhelming demand on food banks, we are opening up enrollment for our Food Trust program. During the shutdown, 1) Essential Federal Employees 2) Furloughed Federal Employees 3) SNAP recipients and/or 4) WIC recipients can sign up for Food Trust — a no-cost grocery benefits program.

ELIGIBILITY

Enrollment will be prioritized for households most impacted by the government shutdown, including:

  • Furloughed Federal Employees

  • Essential Federal Employees

  • SNAP Participants

  • WIC Participants

PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE

New participants will receive support thanks to the generosity of current members and partners.
Here’s what’s included:

  • A one-time benefit to use at a participating local grocery store for approved grocery items

  • Access to fresh, culturally relevant foods

  • Personalized support from our team to get you started quickly

Please note: The benefit amount is non-transferable.
